A meeting recorder with no bot
Pauta records your computer audio, so no bot joins the meeting and no extra participant appears in the list. It transcribes and summarizes on the device itself.
Step by step
- Download Pauta for macOS or Windows and open the app.
- Join the meeting as usual, on Zoom, Teams, Google Meet or any other app.
- Pauta notices the meeting started, or you turn recording on right then. On Mac, the Island shows the recording at the top of the screen. On Windows, the control sits in the tray.
- When the meeting ends, read the transcript and the summary, which stay on your computer.
When a bot is still the better option
A bot records even when you are not on the call and does not depend on your computer. If the meeting has to be recorded by someone other than you, a cloud notetaker solves it. A local recorder only hears what passes through your device.
Several cloud tools now offer a bot-free mode. What Pauta adds is that the processing also stays on your computer.
What Pauta does not do
- Pauta runs on macOS 13 or later and on Windows 10 and 11. The iOS and Android versions are still being built.
- It does not show up in the meeting participant list, so telling people the conversation is being recorded is up to you.
